Hosea 4:6 is the thesis verse of this entire study. The Hebrew word *damah* (destroyed) means to be cut off, to be silenced. Whole families have been silenced — not by a supernatural sentence, but by the compounding effect of never knowing God’s ways. The Hebrew *da’ath* (knowledge) is not informational but experiential, relational — the intimate knowledge of God that transforms how a person lives.
