A Nation in Covenant
India
“And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”
— John 1:5 (KJV)
The Heritage
India is an ancient civilization of extraordinary depth — of language and philosophy, of devotion and perseverance. In the midst of more than a billion souls, the church in India is a quiet, radiant minority: small lamps burning steadily in every state of the union.
Jerome Jones Ministries stands in covenant with the church of India — honoring her long endurance and her gentle boldness, resourcing her teachers, and praying for her lamps: that the light that shines in the darkness would be seen, honored, and never put out.
The Covenant Artifact — The Diya Lamp

The diya — the small clay lamp of India, lit in millions of windows at festival time. No single flame lights a nation; the light shines because every family sets out its lamp. So it is with witness: one lamp per window, and the whole street glows.
The Fruit We Pray For
God so loved the world — and the world includes every soul in it. The Indian church loves its neighbors across lines of language and caste, exactly as Christ commanded. We pray for that fruit to overflow: lamp after lamp, window after window, until whole streets shine.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” — Galatians 5:22–23

Covenant Partner — India
Our partner ministry in India will be introduced as formal announcements are made. We honor our partners’ timing and their leadership, and we share their names with the same care they extend to us.
Carry This Light Forward
Worldwide evangelism moves the way the Gospel always has — one carrier at a time, sustained by prayer, resourced by partners, and honored by God. If the work in India stirs something in you, we would be honored to have you stand with it.
Prefer to pray with us? Write to us and we will gladly share the nations we are carrying this month.
