SESSION 2: You Can’t Give What You Don’t Have

Session Overview

Deuteronomy 6 gives us God’s blueprint for generational transmission of faith: it is daily, relational, and woven into the fabric of everyday life. The command is not to send your children to a class, but to teach them diligently in the ordinary moments — sitting, walking, lying down, rising. When godly character, wisdom, and discernment are absent from a family system, the next generation inherits the absence.

• Formation is inevitable. The question is never whether children will be formed, but what they are being formed by.

• When we don’t intentionally deposit God’s ways, the culture will fill the silence.
