Pastors Alton and Tammie Bryant are Co-Founders of Breaking Bread Global Ministries. Together they bring over four decades of combined ministry experience to their work of pastoral teaching, discipleship, and leadership development. Tammie brings additional decades of nursing experience into her wellness and pastoral care work, and Alton’s pastoral leadership has shaped congregations across multiple seasons of ministry growth and transition.

Opening the Book grew out of the authors’ own experience walking new believers through their first encounters with Scripture, and their own honest seasons of reconnecting with a study rhythm that life had crowded out. It is offered as a practical, accessible starting point for anyone — newborn or seasoned — who wants to know God’s Word not merely as information, but as an ongoing, intimate relationship.

Alton and Tammie continue to serve together in ministry, teaching, and discipleship development, committed to helping believers at every stage move from fear and distance into confident, daily intimacy with God through His Word.
