MODULE 5: Taking Action — From Awareness to Commitment

The personal declaration of uncompromising commitment.

Course: Uncompromising Faith
Audience: BBGM Discipleship.

Session Overview

Awareness without action is just information. Joshua declared, ‘As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord’ — a personal, non-negotiable commitment. Paul gave four commands for uncompromising living: be on your guard, stand firm in the faith, be courageous, be strong. The question is no longer whether you know — it is whether you will act.

Joshua 24:15, 1 Corinthians 16:13

  • Action steps: complete the personal assessment, identify one area of drift, engage in discussion.

  2. Can you make Joshua’s declaration for your own household? What would need to change for that to be true?
  3. Which of Paul’s four commands (guard, stand firm, be courageous, be strong) do you most need right now?
  4. What concrete action step will you take this week to move from awareness to commitment?
